Worst director of the modern era

The other night I flipped over to one of the movie channels and joined a movie called Final Storm in progress. There were decent actors in the movie, but it was horrible. I watched it to the end to see how it ended and it ended so stupid that I wanted to drive an ice pick into my brain.
Then I saw it was directed by Uwe Boll. The man is the modern version of Ed Wood He can take any subject and make the worst movie ever from it.

Also thought of Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer (they're a team so listing 2 counts as one)
Responsible for: Disaster Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Vampires Suck

they know they make shite movies... Uwe probably thinks "this next idea" will make him the new Chris Nolan. If M. Night didn't have 3 good movies to start out with I would probably put him in the discussion.

These guys
I'd much rather watch a hilariously bad Uwe Boll movie than these two hacks.

Final Storm sucked as far as the writing.
The directing and cinematography were both good, I wouldn't have guessed that it was an Uwe Boll movie.
The worst director of our era is Tommy Wiseau.

He doesn't have a decent enough body of work to be called the worst. Although, The Room was atrocious.

This. Uwe granted was the first to come in mind, but he can make films so bad they're hilarious. Those 2 though, no. They're just terrible.

frick off. Tommy Wiseau is a creative genius. Who else could right beautiful dialogue like "I did not hit her! It's bullshite! I did not hit her! I DID NOT!... Oh Hi Mark."

Roland Emmerich
I retract my previous answer. Emmerich is definitely one of the worst film makers in history. He has used the same basic plot for every one of his films and just put them in different manipulative settings... actually sometime not at all. Day After Tomorrow and 2012 are basically the same plot.

M Night Shyamalan is pretty bad IMO. Maybe not the worst because of his earlier work, but he is becoming the worst the more films he makes.

Tyler Perry
Just out of curiosity, exactly how many Tyler Perry movies have you seen from start to finish?
I've been noticing a funny trend that the people slamming Perry as a director haven't actually seen any of his movies, let alone the dramas that don't focus on the Madea character.

Daddy's Little Girls - RottenTom 27%
Why Did I Get Married? - RottenTom 46%
The Family That Preys - RottenTom 50%
Why Did I Get Married Too? - RottenTom 26%
For Colored Girls - RottenTom 33%
Which one of these is his "pièce de résistance"?

I've seen a handful, and the only one that I thought was enjoyable was I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

I've started 4 or 5 but have yet to finish one.
The Family that Prays
Why Did I Get Married?
I Can Do Bad All By Myself
Daddy's Little Girls
House of Payne (TV show) a few episodes
Meet the Browns (TV show) one episode
I've seen enough to know I don't want to see any more of them. His writing is juvenile at best, he plays to stereotypes and his actors project as if they're in a theater...it works in a theater but should never be done in a movie. He pushes the stereotype of ignorant, caustic black women for cheap laughs.
Edit: Was gonna keep typing but Game of Thrones just started and I'm not going to miss it.
