Sorry man, that is a horrible day. I lost three labs last year from May-December. I miss them all terribly, but it does feel really good to have a new one at home, FWIW!

I don't mind, he was $700, which is steep. But, I have had experience with the breeder, the best duck dog I have ever owned came from the same bloodline, and he had his dew claws removed, was already microchipped, etc. My normal Avi pic is his ancestor, Angus, retrieving a Tundra Swan, not sure what happened to photo bucket tonight!

He came from a breeder in Virginia, Amber Run Kennels. These folks have been breeding hunting labs for 30 years.
