Possibly. We have a few more years before that comes in to play though.

I agree with this. If we could get a good coach then we could build a good program. If she leaves for UT in 5-10 yrs then the program should be in good shape.

I don't see Summit leaving anytime soon. She has an easy job and is making a TON of $$$$.

Summit is grooming her son to coach after she retires.........so Caldwell is not going to UT that is a guarantee.......

Not if she doesn't win. If she coaches us to a National Championship, probably.

Nothing in life is ever a guarantee.

From what I've been told, Holly Warlick is the one that's set to step in & take over for Summit. I'm not a very big follower, but according someone who definitely is, Warlick is the one coaching and drawing up plays in the timeouts. Summit is chewing on refs ears and doing motivational stuff these days.

I'm guessing her son is probably not even a teenager, so I doubt that's a serious response.

Has there ever been a coach in any sport at LSU that someone didn't think was going to another job?

Holy frick, we just hired this woman, we have no idea yet how good she will be let along if she would the #1 choice of UT

she can have "her" legacy here. At UT, it will always be P.S. legacy. her name is on the court.

You never wanna be the coach that takes over for the legend. She will wait at least till Pat Summit retires and her replacement fails miserably before she ever thinks about going back to UT.

Summitt is still in her 50s and still has that burning desire to coach. With over 900 victories, I'll bet she coaches 10 more years.
