scottrade usually has mine within a day or two, but my BP dividend hasn't gone through yet either

why would it not just be an electronic transfer? seems kinda weird to me. Admittedly, this is my first ever div that I have received in a non-taxable account.

What kind of "account" do you have? I receive dividends in my Schwab account the day after pay date 100% of the time.

I can't believe no one has asked him if he is getting x-div day and payout day switched up.

That would explain it. I've been on a roll of not thinking through posts lately.

So my div went through but my bank did an automatic reinvest and now I have partial shares. I didn't even know that was possible for individual stocks.
