Has anyone ever used one of these?
I always see their ads and good rates, just curious to hear personal stories.
Oh, and I am looking to refi one mortgage and need an original purchase loan also.

If you give your information to Lending Tree, you will be hounded mercilessly for the remainder of your days.
Also, be careful about choosing a lender that isn't local. I've heard of non-local lenders ordering an appraisal from someone who isn't familiar with the local market. The appraisal came in ridiculously low, and the loan was denied on that basis.

Usually the closing cost are inflated to make up for that lower rate you are getting.

thats what the big banks tell you, but get an estimate from both and compare. I did and the closing costs slightly lower with everbank than Chase. Plus the rate was a good .25 lower.

its a myth that big banks have lower closing cost. and rates have been moving down all week so take advantage of this quickly.
