He goes down this morning!

My weekend sucked. Heard a few gobble once or twice on the limb early yesterday. Only one was close enough to try to make a move on, and it was well after flydown time before we could set up on him. He answered me once about 300 yards away and we never heard him again.

At daylight today we were close to where he gobbled yesterday morning but we didn't hear a single bird.

I think I may hunt at home next weekend, the birds behind my house have been strutting and gobbling good, and hopefully they'll be charged up in Mississippi when I go back in two weeks.
