Has anyone tried to brew this? How did it come out? Any suggestions you may have will be appreciated.

I think DFH puts candied sugar in their IPAs...sorta like the belgian trappist ales.

would make sense for the 90 minute. I find it to almost be sweet with a syrup taste. Could it be honey?

Doesnt look cheap to make..

AHS has a all grain kit for it would run you 50.95 all grain milled with WLP005 and double pitch

Not sure how close it is to this recipe though.

continuous hopping is interesing in the recipe though.

I havent punched the numbers but that recipe could be trouble without a double pitching of yeast or making a starter first

I bought the ingredients this weekend in NOLA for about $30. The 90 min has a lot more hops.

I made it recently. I think it turned out pretty good considering I wasn't set up (at the time) for IPA's. You pretty much have to give constant attention since you're constantly adding hops over the course of an hour but its not bad

I would not worry about trying to continuously hop the beer. This is more of a gimmick than anything IMO. If you use a good buttering addition for about half of your ibu's and then an addition every 5 minutes with 30 minutes left in the boil you should be good. There are plenty of good clone recipes out there you could pull from.

I've read where its candied sugar. Sam Calagione is heavily influenced by belgian beer and most of the trappist ales use candied sugar. I think 90 is just a hopped up belgian triple. I'm not a fan of it.
