Pretty cool moment...(Copied from a high school soccer message board)

"My name is Grant Eloi the head boys coach at Pineville High. We lost tonight to Lafayette High but it was the only time in my life I was happy after a loss. We have a student on our team named Ross who has downs syndrome. He has more passion and heart for soccer and Pineville than anyone I know. The head coach for Lafayette and his team gave Ross the chance to score a goal tonight and he did. It was the greatest soccer experience of my life. Hats off to Lafayette high and although I'm a rebel I am now forever a fan of the Lions."

The mother of the boy also gave the details. Pretty moving stuff. Here's the link to the full thread

Great story. Very classy and the players congratulating him after the game, you could tell it meant a lot to him.

Hijack - didnt know Laprepsoccer boards were still around I used to lurk the shite out of them when I played.

Thats really awesome! Shows theres much more to life than just the game.

I'm sure Pineville allowed Lafayette an equilizer afterwards though
