Notice how Auburn and Bama and others are signing studs from all over the U.S. like we used to.

I know this year we had plenty of studs in state but where are the out of state studs that we used to get?

And why so many 3 star players? Way more than the other top SEC schools.

Are we lucky to have a great home state crop this year but are still slipping nationally?

This is a good class. It meets every position of need except maybe some more LB help. Rankings aren't everything to a recruiting class.

If we had a track record of coaching players up, the 3 stars wouldnt bother me but we dont.

C'mon man. Please do your hw before posting. This was a banner year in state and it was important to lock up every kid we could. It is the most important thing.

We lost 1 recruit. Greg Robinson. That's dominant.

Why don't you look back when we took Russell Sheppard and Craig Loston out of Texas. They were the #1 and #3 recruits out of the state. Please do your hw.

Have you looked at the talent in Alabama?

Better instate recruits so why go OOS.

3* under Miles: Ciron Black, Lyle Hitt, Brandon LaFell, Trindon Holliday, Pep Levingston, Kelvin Sheppard, Josh Jasper, Lavar Edwards, P.J. Lonergan, Derek Helton, Morris Claiborne, Ken Adams, Alfred Blue.

I'll give Miles the benefit of the doubt on talent evaluation.

What more do you want? That's a pretty awesome distribution. 3.63 average.

That just tells you how good the talent is in-state. There's no real reason to go recruit somewhere else when Louisiana has the most talented football players per capita.

We are already loaded. This is a good class and I think from a national standpoint we will see aggressive QB recruitment. We are in a good situation. No worries Mate.

Is there a pressing need for OOS recruits this year? No. LSU couldn't sign a full class anyway. They got all the big in state recruits and filled most positions of need. Quit whining.

Fair enough.

Those out of state guys are higher ranked. I would go for best player availible regardless of where they live.

We got the #10 class, so I should be happy.

Just hate seeing alot of SEC teams in front of us.

Who cares as long as we sign quality talent at the right positions. Isn't the point of recruiting to win football games, not win the recruiting NC? I'll take top 5 consistently, because that means we're taking care of business.

Edit: ESPN sucks at recruiting rankings and evaluation. When you look back 4-5 years and look at the NFL draft vs those recruits, Rivals is more accurate than any other site out there.

LSU on Rivals: #6
