Before tonight's game, I will be attending a question and answer session with the GM of the Hornets, Dell Demps. I have read some knowledgeable posts from a few of you on here, and wanted to give you an opportunity to suggest questions for me to ask tonight. I can't guarantee that they all get answered, but I will do my best. Tomorrow, I plan on writing an article on my New Orleans Sports blog (site is given in my bio on my Tiger Droppings profile, I don't want to spam it on here) that will discuss some of the things that Mr. Demps spoke about. Thanks for your input, and go Hornets!

UPDATE: Q&A session article posted; lots of great information! Link to Article

Ask him if there is any chance that Peja reunites with the team.

Serious question, I dont want to have to throw away my peja t-shirt.

He's already agreed to sign with Dallas as soon as he's allowed to by the NBA. Looks like you're going to have to give it to some under-privileged child in Dallas!

Ok then, ask him if he has any say in upgrading my seats tonight. I want to win the stub hub lucky seat upgrade of the game tonight.

Ask him what are the chances that we land Andre Iguodala. Also, if he is done working the phones. And what they are doing in terms of making CP3 happy, and improving their practice facilities.

the driveman can answer that for you.

he's working the phone every minute and when they set out they told chris they're building a program and not building it around one player like lebron.

that was directy from dells mouth at an event I attended last week

Ask him if he's making long term decisions based on his best guess at the new CBA, or with maximum flexibility in mind because it's too hard to say which way the CBA will go.

I had something along these lines written down already, it's a very good question... I just wonder how much of an answer I'll get from him.

FYI - Demps was VERY informative tonight. He was a lot more straight forward than I expected. I'll write up an article tomorrow and post it for all to see when I'm done. GO HORNETS!

Why mess with what we have going on now. That's what happened with the Bayless trade. The team had to reform and regain chemistry. We're on a great win streak now. Wait until we're in a slump to think about trading.

The idea behind a trade shouldn't be to bring in a new starter, IMHO, but to shore up the bench.

Specifically, I'd want to have an additional big who is better than Mbenga and Gray if possible, as insurance in case Okafor needs to be on the bench for any length of time.

This. We need a solid, consistent guy who can play the 4 and the 5.

If we can get someone who can play the 5, I think keeping Smith at the 4 would be good enough. I hate when we have to keep switching him back and forth from the 4 to the 5, because he and the team aren't nearly as productive

Great write up there, glad to see Demps was very open with his responses. As an LSU fan the Marcus Thornton situation is a little upsetting because I really want him to do well, but it seems clear that he has improved his defense tremendously since the start of the season. As a result, we see him getting a lot more playing time.

Everything else about the approach Demps is taking as the GM gives me great hopes for the future of the organization. I believe West is a major key for keeping CP3.

Happy to keep fellow Hornets fans informed; I agree with basically everything you said.
