Hornets Team Plane

The Hornets used to fly in a team-owned Boeing 727, which you would occassionally see at the NOLA airport when not in use. Now I've noticed that they are chartering a Delta Airbus 319. I guess they sold the old plane, which would have sold for many millions. They probably needed the cash. Just a wonderment on my part.

They did get rid of it, my friend's mom used to be a flight attendant on that plane. I'm not sure if the Hornets actually "owned" it though, since it would basically go unused for 6 months out of the year. They were probably leasing it or something.
