I know he is at UNO and might be able to transfer next year and play right away cause UNO is going D3. Just curious if we were still going to look at him.

I can only hope, stringer is terrible right now

I don't think he can transfer here. Pretty sure he has to have three semesters under his belt before he would be able to.

Man I really liked this guy more than Stringer coming out.
Watching some film he could create room for himself to hit the jumper without having a screen, something Stringer doesn't look like he can do even with a screen.
Don't know the scoop on whether we're still in the picture with him somewhere down the line, but we really need a true point guard badly.

Is this the 4th straight year we have said this?

It's been at least since 1999 we've needed a true PG.

It's been alot more than 4.
D-Mitch did a pretty good job, but he wasn't a true PG.
Before that you'd have to go back to bad boy JUCO Dejuan Collins to find our last true and talented PG and one rolls the dice with JUCO's and it was a gamble that didn't pay off with Collins.
He only lasted half the year before his conduct necessitated his being booted.

He played 2 most of the Final Four year. Temple was primarily the point. Not ideal for either to be the point but that's what we had to play with.

It's been wayyyyyyyyyyy more than 4 years. We haven't had an all league caliber pg in years

I'll disagree. Temple did play some point but D-Mitch played more. I've watched all the tourney games from that year over and over enough to where I feel pretty confident on that account.

Randy Livingston is the first that comes to mind... D-Mitch didn't do a bad job but he obviously wasn't a natural 1

Torris Bright was okay, not great by any means.

We have recruited good HS pgs. They just never pan out. Bright wAs ok. Tack minor blew.

bright wasn't that bad when he had a good team around him. it was after that that he struggled. wasn't a true PG though

Dude would start backing guys down at half court. He just didn't have good enough handles to be a consistently good point.
I wish we would have had a good point and that he could have played 2 more. I think he would have shined.

The guy in your avatar is a true point guard, but I think that his eligibility is used up.
