Over the last few years I've read several stories about Les Miles making hospital visits and doing great things for LSU fans. My 10 year old cousin lost his father to a rare disease back in August. He is a big time LSU football fan. My grandma decided to write Les a letter about the story in hopes of him sending my cousin something back. Well, about a week after the letter was sent, Les sent my cousin an autographed picture of himself. The joy on my cousin's face was indescribable. I know Les takes a lot of heat from LSU fans but he is an excellent guy and I hope he remains the coach at LSU for a while.

no knock on Les here ... he is a coach of extremely high integrity

however, he has assistants that screen mail, etc. i'm sure he gets 3 or 4 things a week he simply signs and moves along...either way, cool story bro (seriously)

While this is true, I've heard a lot of stories of Les personally showing up and visiting people in hospitals or just being an all-around nice guy. He is a personable guy when not in front of reporters.

Then who is? the guy IS a good coach that runs a winning and clean program. Watch what you wish for. Who else is out there anyway?

Tigerclow: You're an ungrateful clown. If LSU only won a National Championship every other year, you'd bitch when we lost one every other year. Just who, out there, would make the right coach for you. Why don't you decide what team has the coach that satisfies you and just start pulling for them. We ralyy don't need you naysayers tearing down our coach. He a fine man and a fine coach.

All the flack Les gets for his mistakes and supposedly not living up to expectations, he never strays from what is truly important in life, values. That is very admirable.

Les drives me crazy at times. But putting that aside, he is a very good man who tries his best on and off the field. He definitely goes out of his way to help people when he can. I hope he can get a few things fixed with the team and stays here a long time.

Love Les

Coaching - his luckiness makes up for his shortcomings.
