thought i'd post a few of my favorite cars to drive (all pictures taken by me in photo mode):

have you guys played the new "seasonal events" that came with update 1.05? they've got 4 new a-spec races, time trials, and drifting events. i've only played a few of the a-spec races, but with a bit of an investment [if you don't have the right car for the race, like a fiat 800 or honda cr-z you'll have to buy one, and there are hp and weight restrictions] you can make a ton of credits. i think i bought the fiat and honda for about 45,000 credits together and have made 250,000 credits from the races, and that's with a 4th place and 3rd place finish in each.
the update also included a new online car dealership with a 5 million credit formula one car. i am a long way from being able to afford that...

that's the "gt academy" i think - it's one of the seasonal events, but you don't need to sign up to access all of them. you should see and be able to click on "seasonal events" in your lounge.
actually, the gt academy is the one where you compete for the chance to race cars in real life. here's the youtube commercial for it:

Mines black. Ran it in the FR series for one race last night and I was getting killed on the last straightaway. Ended up placing 3rd but had to block like crazy to keep from getting passed at the end.

Same here. I ran the first race and finished third just in time by cutting off nine assholes behind me.

my b-spec driver gets smoked by the tacomas in the truck race, but i've gotten gold in both of the a-spec races.
the only truck i think my b-spec driver would win with is that red chevy ss that appears in the used car lot for 90k credits. it looks like it overpowers everything without any tuning.

Same here. I can't win the b-spec truck races for shite. My driver will be ahead then shift down and go like 50mph into a turn....with damn near 700 hp. VERY frustrating.

any tips for the fiat 500 challenge? i can't do better than 4th there - it seems impossible to catch up with those lead cars. or is it just learning to follow the right lines on the track and gunning it through turns?
