I had no dog in either hunt. This comes from neutral point of view.

The 4A game was great it was probably the best high school game I have ever seen. I felt bad that there was a winner and loser in this game. Both teams left everything on the field including their heart. Franklinton loses Robinson to a broken arm and puts in number 2 and he comes up with some big runs. Karr's QB comes up with a big pass late to tie the game and send it to OT. I to both teams. Hold your head up high.

Now the 5A game. This is the second worst high school football game I have ever seen. The worst was Curtis losing the championship in like 03 in a 12-7 game. JT wouldn't change his play calls and just keep running it up the middle for nothing. This game was close to that. Without a doubt WM coach lost the game for them. It is funny 2 of the most winningest coaches in the state in JT and Shows were so pigheaded that they wouldn't change the play calls that didn't work to give his team a chance to win the game. In hindsight I wish I would have went to see the 1A and 4A game instead of the 4A and 5A game. Maybe the build up of seeing WM for the first was a major letdown, but like I vowed to never see another Curtis game I think I might apply the same thing to WM and maybe even Acadiana. Who thought the game would be one play and then sever boredom and I love smash mouth run and defense football. This was load 10 men in the box on both sides and do nothing.

Oh and Karr's band rocked........Acadiana's band was umm different? Does the dance team have a hippie for a coordinator? I have never seen a band just walk onto the field with instruments over the shoulder instead of march on.

Plenty. It looked like a modern football game. No offense congratulations to Acadiana. If it was Brother Martin in place of Acadiana I wouldn't have thought it boring. AHS HC out coached WM.

the veer machine is not pleasing to the eye, but it gets the job done

All of Acadiana's offense came from passes, not the "veer machine".

Same for WM btw as WM's option yielded zero results.

It wasn't the coaching. There are a like of things WM "had a want to do". If Turner would have had both legs we would have spread it out and let him do his thing he's done all year. Tried it a few times but it was ineffective because Turner had no explosiveness. If he'd have been healthy would it have changed the outcome? We'll never know. Acadiana was a "*#%* strong football team".

so over 100 yards.

plus JJ, the play action is a key tool to the veer machine which i am guessing AHS got most of their passing yards from.

Yes, I agree. West Monroe did not execute this very well and Acadiana did.

Not going for the FG in the first half was one.

2. Handing to the FB to give him some love while in the middle of a solid drive and him putting it on the ground.

3. Acadiana was stacking 10 in the box and been in the back field all night so WM tries running a WR reverse. Yeah like that had a shot.

He had some other bad calls and an inability to try different things. The screen pass worked once let's not run that again. He was out coached.
