Finally we may get some payback

Maybe after all the years of having to cut great athletes from the LSU rosters because of bad behavior.... maybe LSU is about to get a chance to get some payback. If Mettenberger takes over as QB1 and leads the Tigers to the SEC Championship next season maybe it will heal a lot of the "what if-wounds" that have cut deep into the hearts of the Tiger fans over the last decade.

What if fans over the last decade?
How can you what if over that decade when we have 3 SEC titles and 2 NCs?

Maybe you don't understand. That's not my problem now is it. But I for one will find it quite refreshing to see LSU's program bring some redemption to Mett's life and career. The program at LSU is second to none with very high standards. Instead of having to discipline an athlete and taking him off of the roster, LSU now has a chance to take in a guy who is trying to make things right. He will get no better guidance than he will from Les Miles and his staff.
I'm sorry you don't get that. Maybe one day you will.

Maybe you'll get that we've had less of this than most teams and dont need to whine about it...

i see where you are going but you have to wait one more year for this thread. People still want to see Lee as the starting QB.
He still has to exercize the deamons and become a LSU Legend.

Get your head out of your arse, SJ, and you will see that no one is whining (except for a few ranters who wished Mett committed to their university instead of LSU). Seriously, I hope that Mett turns out the be the QB we have been missing for the last two years. His desire for redemption could have a great impact not only on him but the whole team. Maybe he could be a mentor to other athletes who have a tendency of getting caught up the in the trappings of "sports celebrity." Mett has been there, done that, and is paying for it. He could speak with authority and bring leadership in ways that coaches may not be able to. Such leadership can translate to the field and .... who knows... Mett might even make Crowton look good.
