Even when he was in good position he never turned to pick up the ball or try to defend it. Seemed to be looking elsewhere. He looked more like Jason David. He's never looked like that before.

he's hoping Kitna watches the game film.

Thursday he plays for real and gets 3 picks.

Bour corners looked incredibly small compared to their receivers.

On the first long completion, he was 10 yds off the receiver at the LOS, but bit on a fake, and stumbled trying to recover. 2nd pass, he was stride for stride with the receiver, but just never made a play for the ball, or even looked for it.
If we get Jenkins and Sharper back by Thursday (or even 1 of them), we should be ok.
Now, just need to find a kicker! Clanging a gimme FG and kicking out of bounds has got to be the final straw with EMO boy.

After nearly 2 seasons I think Greer deserves an off game.

And last game he tripped once and the rest of the game was just short guarding much bigger WRs. We'll see how the Cowboys play this.

this.

the guy has been better than any of us could have imagined, he is due for one bad game.

with that being said, it was a little frustrating yesterday - especially knowing Dez Bryant/Roy Williams (both big receivers) loom this week but I think he'll do fine.

Greer was just stuck in ubber shock the entire game that Mike Williams was still in the NFL.

Greer also had problems (to put it mildly) with Roddy White. Hope he bounces back.

Yes. I thought it had already been decided on this board that we were "mailing it in" against the Seahawks in order to dupe the Cowboys. Man, that Sean Payton is sooooo smart.

No...But Payton, on Sirius this morning stated that they are treating these two games (Seahawks/Cowboys) as a doubleheader. They sit some guys and will rotate them in this Thursday (Jenkins, Sharper, Bush). Usama played FS all game and the D barely blitzed. That will change when Sharper/Jenkins gets back there.

ETA: Mailing it in...no, but changing play styles and gameplanning...maybe.

No problem. Saints are still undefeated when Porter and Greer start together. Noone ever mentions this.

Greer will bounce back. He slipped on one play and simply did a poor job of locating the ball on the other. He had good coverage on the other completions. Guys on offense can have off games with dropped passes, fumbles, interceptions, missed blocks, etc. and the same applies to defensive players. That's especially true at CB. And Williams often leaves Greer with no safety b/c of how well he's performed so it looks especially bad whenever he does get beat. He's essentially shut down some of the NFL's best receivers the past two seasons so there's no reason for concern b/c of one subpar outing. I think it's actually a compliment to how well he's played the last 2 seasons that some people are freaking out over this game.
