According to Tim Legler the only 2 elite teams are Boston and LA. The Heat have a chance to get to that level though. No mention of the Hornets.

Then they finish it off with San Antonio has the best record in the NBA

As crappy as it is, the Spurs, Lakers, and Celtics have won titles, and they have coaches and players on their current roster who have won titles.

The Hornets are really good, but they have a rookie coach, and I think only Ariza has a ring.

I'm very confident that this team can get to the Western Conference Finals and take the Lakers to a very rigged Game 7.

It's great we have the best record, but I wouldn't expect us to beat Boston or LA in a 7 game series.

He also didn't have Paul as one of the top 3 PGs in the league. Rondo, Rose, and Williams

Legler is an idiot. The Hornets are every bit as "elite" as the Heat are right now. Not saying that the Hornets are elite, just that the Heat are not. They may be down the line, but they have been mediocre thus far.

I don't think you understand what the word mediocre means. The Heat have either blown everyone out or lost close games. Their point differential is the best in the NBA, and they're second in both offensive and defensive efficiency. They aren't as good as everyone thought they would be, but they're still one of the best teams in the NBA.
