jordan jefferson will still see playing time if we don't change our offense because Zach isn't mobile enough to run the option or option read plays.

holgorsen does seem like an upgrade. I'm just saying if we are going to run this style of offense pick up a mobile but also accurate QB.

Simple. Don't run the option, or zone read play.

Says who? Think about it Zach has a great arm and accurate but we like to run the option, example you see what florida is doing they cant run their style of offense with brantley so we would be in the same position, the only way jefferson dosen't come in is if we find a replacement qb to run the option.

You are right but if thats the case why they dont let lee stay in and dont run the read option. Its part of their offensive idenity.

I meant who says Mett isn't mobile or can't run?

Does Arkansas run the option?

Imagine the Arky Offense with a LSU defense... to me, that's the potential if we have a guy like Mettenberger...

Reports on scout says he runs a 5.30 thats lineman speed. An ideal pro-style quarterback, Mettenberger has the size and arm strength coveted by conventional offenses. Not a running threat, but he has decent mobility within the pocket, and he throws a good ball when rolling to his right. Extremely calm in the pocket, taking the time he needs to check all of his options. Size and awareness make him hard to sack. Has a quick, over the top release with good touch - Scott Kennedy, Scout.com.

OK, thanks. Haven't seen anything on his running ability. Still, 40 yd sprint speed isn't always a good indicator of an athlete's agility and quickness.

Am I the only Tiger fan that hopes we don't get Mettenberger? If your lack of discipline/maturity is so bad that it gets you kicked off Georgia's team, with that bunch of criminals they have, I don't care to have you representing my school. Send him to Auburn. They need a QB for next year, and they seem to appeal to recruits of questionable character.

Why would we run the same scheme with a new OC?

Time for a pro style offense.

If we want to mimic Oregon and MI with a running QB, put RS back there.

... but can he run the option to the short side of the field?
