It will be LSU vs. Ohio St. in the Sugar Bowl. As good a guess as any.

Wrong. If the SEC champ team does not make it to the national title game the Sugar Bowl will take the SEC champion regardless of ranking.

Pretty sure the SEC champ gets an automatic bid to the Sugar Bowl.

Corrected my post. As I said, it's been so long since an SEC champ played in the Sugar Bowl, that scenario went out of my head.

If we win out and Alabama beats Auburn, then we are assured a BCS bid.

Well lets hope that USC can beat the Cheaters. I wouldn't mind seeing LSU in Jerryworld.

If we lose out we go to the cotton bowl. If we win one we go to capital one. If we win both we are going to the sugar. Simple as that.

wrong....the only way we don't make bcs if we win out is if an undefeated auburn loses to south carolina....if bama beats auburn, then the winner of the SECCG goes to sugar and if lsu wins out probably to orange..but definitely a bcs bowl game.

If we win out, and AU loses to S.Car in the SECCG, then we probably go to the orange bowl, S.Car to the sugar, AU to the Cotton.(we would be higher in the BCS than them.

not really. If auburn loses a game we cannot go to sugar bowl. WE still can and will go to another bcs bowl game UNLESS an undefeated auburn loses to south carolina.

I was looking at that prediction. It is based on Auburn losing to Bama and them winning the SECCG. That would mean assuming that Oregon and TCU win out, they go the BCS champ game, and Auburn would go to Sugar. It is plausible. I could see Auburn dropping that Iron Bowl Game. Especially with Saban having an extra week to gameplan. So i see how they predicted this.

This

If auburn beats bama then they MUST beat SC for us to go to bcs.

I guess I meant if LSU wins out, they go to a BCS. I find it extremely, impossibly, outlandishly difficult to leave out a 12-1 LSU with one of the best SOS's in the nation in the SEC...

No. If South Carolina wins the SEC CG, we are not an automatic Sugar Bowl invitee. Auburn has to lose to Bama and SCar. Then we would end up in Fiesta or Orange, possibly Rose but I doubt it since they love the traditional Big Ten vs. Pac Ten matchup.

My Projections

NC Oregon vs. Boise St
Rose Stanford vs. Ohio State
Sugar Auburn vs. TCU
Orange Wisconsin vs. Virginia Tech
Fiesta Pittsburgh vs. LSU (due to picking order)

If LSU finishes 11-1...it will be pretty hard to keep them out of a BCS game.

It wouldn't matter. If auburn beats bama, they go 12-0 during regular season....if they lost to USC, you don't think the bcs would still take auburn over us, given that they beat us and went 12-0 during regular season? South Carolina would be the automatic birth. Only two teams can go, so who do you think they take between 11-1 lsu and 12-1 auburn in that scenario?
