This looks like a promising new series but it is TBS so we shall see.

Looks pretty dumb to me. Anytime I see a show about a frat, and the frat as 1 black guy, 1 asian, probably 1 jew and 1 handicapped guy as well, I write it off.

Why do shows/movies about college always focus on the frat partying?

1. It's a far overused cliche
2. There is plenty of drama in focusing on the other aspects of college (growing up and self discovery, stress, relationships, etc)

This makes me miss Undeclared.

Undergrads was also criminally underrated. At least we have Community.

Horrible start. Gotta love the Bikini clad girls laying out on campus and the dudes carrying kegs at noon.

Thank you. As a recent college grad, it pisses me off seeing commercials (I damn sure haven't watched the shows) for these lame arse shows on TBS/ABCFamily/etc. for college life. As mentioned, every night of the week there is a raging house party with 400 people, a killer music set up, people having sex on every possible item of furniture, etc. Yeah, I know there are out of this world parties in college, and sometimes they even happen on random weekday nights, but it doesn't happen every night at everybody's house.

What the hell is funny about studying, going to class, and discovering yourself?

This show is a comedy and funny shite happens at crazy parties during the week

Last time I checked, television wasn't about the boring arse reality of real college life. They aren't going to focus on the kid who goes to class and studies. They aren't going to just have one party a semester and then the rest is TV time and going to taco bell.

These always seem to be written by people who never attended a party in college so they all use the same template

Yea, horrible representation of college. Kind of like those shows about high school where everyone broke out into song and dance. Pure crap. Never once in my high school carrier did everyone break out into song and dance in the hallways. Disappointing misrepresentations.

I started LSU in the fall of 1986.

--The clothes are close, but not quite.

--Sorority girls in 86 wore these ridiculously huge bows in their hair.

--Condoms were still called "rubbers"

--I knew a lot of dope smokers, and NONE of them used a hookah.

--beer cans are all wrong. They didn't have that tapered top in 1986. Most still had pull tabs.

That's what I got so far.

--I know someone who peed the bed

I'm not talking about having a show about a guy who just sits in his apartment and studies all day occasionally ordering pizza. There are plenty of real life dramatic things that occur during college that involve relationships, sex, stress, growing up, self-discovery, etc. There is a great human story that can be told about the typical college student. Yea it sounds gay and not as fun as "Lets have a crazy frat party and bang loads of sexy chicks because thats all we do in college! LOL!" but if done correctly, it could make for a very poignant story. Also, I'm not at all against having the occasional insane party and random sex because, yes, those are part of college too.

I never knew this board was so dissatisfied with how college life is portrayed on tv and in movies

The pilot was pretty good, I'll keep watching

I just gave it a watch and someone getting tasered in the nads and that dude sock sticking to the wall is some funny shite. I don't care who your are, that shite is funny.

FTW I don't think tasers were invented yet.
