Why are people scared of Oregons offense?

Last year Boise St and Ohio St beat them and neither team had the team speed, on defense, that LSU, Auburn or TCU has. Saying that, what did those teams have in common to help them beat Oregon?????
Times up, the answer is TIME to prepare!
Oregon is fast but not the fastest.
Oregon is fast but they aren't big.
Saying that, those 2 things aren't what wins their games. What helps Oregon tge most is their hurry up offense and catching players/teams out of position and using their speed to decrease their opponents margin or error.
When a team is given time to prepare and can match their speed, Oregon will have to win a game on yards after contact and winning individual battles. If a game comes to that with Oregon, then I like Auburn, TCU, Boise St or LSU's chances. I say LSU for 2011 schedule more so than this season.

Nobody runs the hurry up like these guys do. It's disorientating an it makes sure that you can't sub guys in and out on defense, which would hurt us if we played them.

Because they score a lot of points and run the 2 minute offense all game.

Because they all of a sudden got faster?

That's my whole point guys. If you have time to prepare for these guys then that decreases their hurry up offense advantage bc you have already prepared for it.
As far as last year is concerned, who cares? It's the same offense, same rb and a qb that was suppose to be at lsu (which means his talent level is found throughout our roster). I have followed Oregon since Crowton was there and they are one of my favorite teams. Anytime a team has time to prepare for Oregon, their offense is slowed down.

They are good and run a precise well oiled machine for an offense. The media has and alwasy loves seeing 50 and 60 points put up against weaker competion. LSU would have fits with them see Auburn.

I think they are better now on offense than they were last year. That happens sometimes. Even happened for LSU this year.

Last year they had a different QB - it was Masoli who is now at Ole Miss.

60 points a game that's why!!

have u seen it in action?
They use a "green light, yellow light, red light" system
Green is super fast neck breaking no huddle (3 plays in 60 seconds without officals)
Yellow is slow it down, ball control.
Red is milk the clock.

It's not necessarily team speed that's the deciding factor. Oregon's offensive staff have prepared their players as good as any offensive staff can. The players execute (remarkably, considering the pace) to the tune of 60 points per game.
I've seen many SEC teams, as well as Oregon, in person this year. They, on any given night, can beat anybody. There are teams that can beat them. Dominant D-line play is a must. Solid man-to-man coverage is a must. Disciplined LB is a must. Open field tackling is a must. They are a unique offense with multiple ways of scoring. They are way more dynamic than any recent Georgia Tech team could dream of...simply because Thomas can throw the ball very well.
