Delay of Game Penalty after fake punt *substitution*

Although I understand that defense must be given chance to substitute, I believe refs spotting ball with 4 seconds left on LSU playclock is insane. Lee and entire offense waited on refs a good 6 seconds. Regardless, ball could have been snapped or call timout.
Also, came home from game and rewatched play on TV. Before play, camera was on LES (as Danielson made silly comments) instead of watching the field. As the boos rang loudly, Danielson even goes so far as to say that "the boos are not aimed at the refs." Could he have been more clueless? Comments?
