Trade options...

Let's assume I have Peyton Manning and Ryan Fitzpatrick as my QBs.

Would it be smart of me to trade away Peyton for a #1 RB (Foster, Best, etc.)? Fitzpatrick has absolutely lit it up this year and it looks like it will continue.

I may be able to beef up my RB production without having a drop in QB production.

I have Frank Gore and Ryan Torain as my RBs. Week 9, they are both on bye and I will have Reggie Bush and Danny Woodhead to fill in.

My only issue is that Peyton is SO consistant and never injured. Fitzpatrick would be a gamble, but, if he keeps playing like he is now, it could be a real nice boost to my production.

What do you think?

I would never trade Peyton imo. Like you said, the guy is the most consistent player in the league. If anything I would try and trade Fitz if you think you can get something for him, but it's doubtful unless someone really needs a QB (look for whoever had Tony Romo).

Also, I wouldn't trade for Jahvid Best. I have him on my team and I'm hoping he can put up big numbers again, but it's too big a gamble to trade for (especially Peyton).

Good luck man.

trade both away and payton

Gore now has Troy at QB, production going down
Torain is a big injury risk
Fitz will have to throw, Payton's weapons dropping like flies

fify

Also, it's probably doubtfull you can trade Jackson or Torain, but I don't how deep your league is.

49ers Week 8 starting quarterback Troy Smith's only practice reps have come with the scout team so far this season.
He's been used only to give the 49ers' defense "a look" on the practice field, running the opposition's offense. Playcaller Mike Johnson can't possibly have much confidence in the former Raven. Expect a decidedly run-first game plan against the Broncos at Wembley Stadium Sunday. Frank Gore should get a ton of work, but Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis take fantasy hits.

box stacking will limit average

So, you think Gore's production drops now, even though they will lean on him with Alex out?

Assuming that is true, you think I should trade Frank Gore while his stock is high, right?

Also, since Peyton Manning's teammates have been dropping like flies, his production will most likely drop, so trade him high as well?

You also believe Ryan Torain will not last the rest of the season, one more reason to sell high.

Not to say I disagree with you on any of this, so with Manning, Gore, and Torain on the trading block, what type of players should I be able to go after?

Two top tier RBs and a top tier WR? Thanks for the help so far.

ETA: I'm still not convinced Gore won't continue to do well.
