Coach Miles has received comittments from three big-time running backs in Kenneth Hilliard (6'0", 220) from Patterson, Jeremy Hill (6'1", 220) from Redemptorist and Terrance Magee (5'10", 200) from Franklinton whom I believe is the best of the three.

Does anyone else agree with him? I'm pretty sure Hill and Hilliard are the blue-chippers.

Leave the Dandy One alone. He throws his opinion out there everyday for everyone to pick apart. He's a die hard LSU fan. Agree or Disagree with him, but don't call him names.

I disagree with him in this instance, BTW. We'll see.

I wasn't trying to make fun of him, just seeing what others thought about it since it seemed out there to me.

Terrance Magee is flying way under the radar. Hill and Hilliard have the name recognition, but take a look at Magee's stats. Very respectable.

ETA - As of last week: Has completed 70 of 104 passes for 1,328 yards and 19 TDs and rushed 47 times for 488 yards and 10 TDs

Maybe we should leave him at QB

Like I tried to tell everyone for over a year, Hill is without-a-doubt the best RB we have committed this year. The talk of moving him to LB was downright hysterical.

Hill and Hilliard are the power backs, Hilliard now weighs 235 lbs. Magee is a shifty speed back. They are all good. Best 3 RBs ever recruited in one year by LSU.

I thought he was even up in the 245 range?

I've only seen "highlights" of Magee on Rivals, but there is not a run by him greater than 8 yards.

A couple of guys here, & apparently DD, are high on him, but I'm still trying to figure out how he got a scholarship offer to LSU.

Not necessarily so.

At this point they are unproven at the college level. So can only judge them based upon their potential.

So there is a good argument for the infamous Class of 1992 running backs, 4 of the 5 whom were rated the #1 running back in their respective states. The college football world was abuzz back then about the recruiting "coup" by LSU, wondering why so many top-rated RB's would all commit to one school. (Obviously they were not afraid of competition, though their careers showed they should have been!) The fact that the group faded into obscurity after arriving at LSU is irrelevant to their status as premier recruits.

David Butler, Louisiana
Jay Johnson, Texas
Robert Toomer, Georgia
Artie Moore, MIssissippi
Robert Davis, Alabama

May this class of RB's live up to their ratings and potential, unlike that one .

Dandy's point is that MaGee is under rated, under the radar, etc...but very tough, athletic and good. Dandy offers educated opinions that are generally very good. His yearly lists of the top 100 are very good, etc. He knows LA and is better than the big scouting services generally.

I remember Toomer and Davis playing. I even remember Toomer having a big game against A&M. I do not remember what happened to the other RB's.

Not that they were ever really great, but Keiland, Chuck and Murphy are still the best trio recruited in one year, at least recently. Ware, Gore and Blue is another good trio. Hopefully they turn out better than the Broussard, Edwards and Vincent trio.

From what I've heard, he's lucky he committed early or he wouldn't have a spot. I don't disagree, but at the very least he can add quality depth to the roster.
