You guys need to chill out. Everyone on this board thinks ZM will be the savior next year. Need I remind everyone he will be in his third year, second in the SEC? All without ever taking a snap in the SEC. This dude has all the makings to get devoured by this fanbase if he doesn't live up to expectations. Dude will basically be a Freshman starting in the SEC even though he is a RS Sophomore. Not a lot of JUCO QBs actually work out in the SEC to my recent memory either. I know Newton is a exception.
But I think we can't get much worse. We just need a good OC who can actually COACH QBS. I wouldn't mind getting a proven OC, then getting rid of one of our assistants so we can get a dedicated QB coach for a change...

he doesn't have to be a savior, just a good qb who can throw downfield will do. If zm comes here he will be starting next fall. Think about it. He has zero competition.

I just think everyone needs to have realistic expectations and allow themselves to have some growing pains with a guy like this. He is going to have them, he is still very young. I think that is where I hate our fanbase the most. They get too critical in situations like this. Lee's Freshman season, he was devoured by the fanbase with unrealistic expectations and I think that damaged him mentally that season.
It won't help that ZM will have to come in and immediately learn a new offensive scheme that will likely see someone other than Crowton. Meaning his team is going to need to learn the new scheme too and that takes awhile to gel...

We are certain Crowton will be gone also, so don't worry about that. Just stay healthy, lead your team to a JUCO national title & be ready to make an impact this spring & next season.

A proven OC and perhaps a new QB coach as well, along with a new OL coach--after this season & the woeful offensive performances, Miles will likely see the need for 2 or 3 coaching changes on the offensive side--at least Crowton & Stud should go.

Just be able to understand an offense and make on point throws. Maybe 200 pass yards per game. The occasional downfield throw. Limited mistakes. Not too much to ask, just be a solid QB.
