Could this be Russell Shepard's big game?

Everyone expects Toliver to be the threat on the offensive side of the ball, but I have a feeling this could be a 2 TD performance for Russell Shepard rushing and receiving. I do expect Toliver to have some big numbers as well and for Randle to come back strong from the injury that quieted him last week.

He gashed a nearly identical Auburn defense last year. It could happen.

Shepard only runs two plays. Crowton has no clue how to use him.

I expect to see Peterson run over a few of their DBs this week. And if Ridley/Ford make it to the 2nd level, look out.

It could be, but he won't get the ball enough. So it wont be.

I'm thinking we'll see him get a few chances, but that might be about all the opportunity that he sees....

I'm just hoping Randle's finger can hold up. We need him more than Shepard as a second receiving threat to compliment Toliver. Shepard will get his chances as well, but Randle could be key in this game.

Man, if he gets going like he did in the spring, this will be fun.

I hope so. Two td's for any one player would be a nice day.

RS is a mystery to me - dude has "swagger," physical abilities and is mentally tough, but he doesn't always perform when given the chance (dropped balls and crazy legs).

Shepard won't have a really big game until he learns how to consistently catch the football. As soon as he lines up to potentially run the ball, the defense assumes they know what play is coming and they go tackle him. Once he learns to catch the football, he will become a true multi dimensional player and will put some serious hurt on defenses. That will happen one day, IF he can get the proper coaching. That's my biggest beef with our offensive coaching staff. Players seem to hang on to bad tendencies way to far into their careers. Not being effectively coached in the fundamentals....just my opinion.
