LSU will simply have to overcome both the Auburn team and Auburn's Refs. It's not a conspiracy or controversy. It's a reality! Most LSU fans, along with other SEC teams/fans, have come to accept & expect the blatantly favorable calls and decisions that are inevitably and consistently given to Auburn & Bama from the in state Alabama Refs.

If it's close, Auburn wins due to the Refs. We must beat them sufficiently to overcome the 10+ points that will be given Auburn by the Refs. You can also count on several momentum changes/shifts in favor of Auburn, along with some LSU drives killed by the umpires as well. They may not be a direct gift of points like was given Auburn against Arkansas last week, but they are still HUGE and effect the outcome of the game.

Based on last week I'd say it's more in the +17-24 point range for the Aubies.

why does this stuff happen year after year? AU and UaT get all the calls in close games in state! As my friends here in TN say.... "you must beat Auburn and Bama soundly to win a game that close to the SEC's home office"

Do you actually think that Auburn supplies the refs?

However, I truly believe that the replay booth at Bama last year was dirty. There is no question in my mind that we were cheated.

I think the SEC office in Birmingham supplies the refs. So really, what is the difference?

Aren't most hired out of the SEC offices in Birmingham?

I'm not one of the big ref conspiracy types, I'm just saying, though.

SEC office should be moved to Nashville! No one in Vandy land cares enough to cheat like the bama and barn boys.

UT is far enough away from Nash....

You need go/see no further than the officiating 3 days ago @ Jordan Hare stadium where Auburn hosted Arkansas. There was a nationwide article in a major college football publication that was released yesterday discussing the horrible calls in the Arkansas game and the overall Referee scandal in the state of Alabama in favor of Auburn & Bama.

It's not a conspiracy. It's a reality. A respected and proven investigative journalist from a major media resource has just begun an investigation. More will be revealed latter.

I think the stank of last week will get us a cleanly officiated game this week, or I could be delusional.

I feel we start the game behind 14-0 anytime you play in Alabama-- the home state advantage!!!

haha, what a bitch. already complaining about the refs. why don't LSU just not even play the game since the refs are going to prevent them from winning.

Dude seriously every single game we play there or in Alabama the refs show their ugly fricking face. I hope they are not even an issue this weekend and we have a good game. I am not whining just stating the obvious as I and many others know is a true issue on the road in your state.

It's simply the way it is. I find it easier to just expect and accept it. The opposing team needs to plan accordingly.

Is it right? No. Is it a reality? Yes.

I'm not offering up an excuse or alibi. I'm simply saying that In Jordan Hare stadium this weekend........ LSU will need to beat Auburn's football team and Alabama's referees.

Officiating at Auburn home games has sucked for a while now. You have to beat Auburn AND the refs. Makes Auburn look weak.
