RB Stevan Ridley

On Michael Ford...
"He went in there against McNeese, and he went out there and had a strong outing. I think he's earned the right to get in there and play, but that is all the coaches' call upstairs. Like I said, it's the same with the quarterback situation. We'd rather roll two or three backs in there and add more to this running game then we already have. I think we'll get things going with whoever they call."

Very classy like the TEAM attitude and can't wait for the game should be a beauty. Win or lose this team understands the word team. Love it!

Now compare those comments to those of JJ.

He has a case of sourgrapes, but I think the team as a whole is moving in the right direction. Both QB's are gonna play and would be nice to see them compliment one another.

Ridley understands TEAM... Not so sure about one of our quarterbacks that has made comments that do not necessarily speak to that.

If JJ doesn't and won't except team I think he will find the bench eventually and if that is a problem he should be kicked off.

That is how Ridley feels, and very unselfish...Followed by what is perhaps something that Tiger Fans can Read-Between-The-Lines with.

Is he saying that personnel on offense is determined by Gary Crowton upstairs???

This leads me to ask???? Is Crowton the one pushing Jefferson to play due to the "Spread Option" potential?

Not trying to dwell on negatives here we all see and do it too much. I just wanted to post a positive and really thought it was very classy and unselfish of him to get that out there.

The starting runningback sees it, do the coaches?

What has JJ said that seems selfish? Is this 'Love JL', so project 'Hate JJ' scenario?

I'll be honest, I was one of the guys screaming for Ford at the beginning of the season. While I still feel that Ford should get carries and brings a different level of explosiveness to this offense, I have to say that I am beginning to really, really like Ridley. I mean the way he runs so hard and maximizes every carry and the way that he builds up his teammates. This guy is a class act and has all my respect going forward.

That's all we are saying. That Ford should be the #2 guy and get a more than 1 touch a game.

I'm going to leave my comments out about Jj (we have enough of those threads) and give Ridley his credit. Great to see that winning ismore important than racking up stats for himself. We need more of this on offense, every squad on defense has a leader with a team attitude

The point of my post was to credit Ridley with good team spirit not to insinuate anything else like who should play qb.
