Just me or did their tv coverage really disrupt flow of game? TV timeouts were absurdly long....I suppose our offense would not have found any rhythm regardless.

I watched it on PPV on Dish. They were constantly changing over to the scoreboard because they came back from commercial and the announcers were not ready yet.

I've never understood why they don't make the networks structure their coverage around the sport itself and not the other way around. What are they going to do if the schools draw a hard line on this? Not cover the games?

Couldn't agree more... If the refs go ahead and start play on your typical CBS broadcast when ole red hat is on the field, you think CBS would really drop the SEC or tailor their coverage to it?

This is the lazy answer, though. The way I see it, the product is the game itself. It's worth x number of dollars, no matter how you want to "package" it. You can take the lazy approach, and let the networks tell you how to package to make it easy for them, or you could force the networks to be creative, and package their advertising within the actual framework of the game. As much as I'm not a fan of soccer, this is one area where I think it's superior.

I agree Y.A., sometimes I find myself watching soccer on TV because I know I wont have to sit through commercials, I get 90 minutes+ of action with a halftime show and thats it... I like it.
