My friend said oregon's stadium is louder than tiger stadium. Can anyone prove which is louder?

Their fans claim it's the design of the stadium that makes it so loud on the field.

Clemson and Oregon both have advantages due to stadium design. Clemson's Death Valley as well as Oregon's stadium are both built into the ground. When you walk into Clemson's stadium, you're basically at the top of the lower bowl and then you descend down into the stadium (hence the name "Death Valley"). Oregon's is similar and it makes them tremendously loud.

There is now way anyone in Oregon drinks more Bourbon than coonasses in Tiger Stadium.

Thats why Lane Stadium is loud as well, the ground provides a sound wall.
Id say person per person Oregon is the loudest

This could be true.
From someone who has been to both stadiums, LSU is louder. From what I have heard it isn't as loud as it used to be on a consistent basis.
Autzen is built into the ground so the sound effects never really leave. It just hovers. The close proximity to the field also helps, the visitors sideline is literally right there.
eta....Autzen>Husky stadium.
I don't need to mention it but the tailgate situations among the three are:
LSU
Oregon
Udub

yeah but Oregon noise never registered on a seismograph like tiger stadium did
Posted on 10/12/10 at 9:42 am to nevilletiger79
maybe because they have real seismic activity going on all the time they can't decipher between the two.

Florida and Auburn have to be included in this discussion.

Louisiana Tech has the same design advantages as Oregon and Clemson. It can get awfully loud on the field in Ruston when the crowd gets excited, at least for the size of crowds we get, and it does rattle WAC teams. If we ever get to the size of crowds that places like Oregon or Clemson get, we should have a pretty ear-splitting homefield advantage. Even with just 30k people, it does get surprisingly loud sometimes. Louisiana people are loud anyway at sporting events, and Tech's stadium is built into the ground and curved just right, so that the sound resonates a lot.
If only our team would give people a really good reason to be so excited this season... Sigh...

Loudest Stadium In College Football History
Husky Stadium has been recorded as the loudest stadium in the nation. This is in part due to the stadium's design; almost 70 percent of the seats are located between the end zones, covered by cantilevered metal roofs.[6]
During televised games, the cameras appear to be shaking due to fans stomping their feet in the bleachers. During the 1992 night game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, ESPN measured the noise level at 135 decibels, well above the threshold of pain). This was the highest decibel level ever recorded for a college football stadium.[7

I've heard that Oregon's tailgating sucks, but I've never been there, so I can't back that up on personal experience.
