Alternating quarterbacks - play by play basis...

Is that a ridiculous idea?

I remember some time ago it was considered inadvisable to alternate at all, but the Leak/Tebow and subsequent "wildcat" formations seem to be working to keep the defense off-balance. How about rotations?

I posted something similar yesterday, just a thought really about a 3 QB system. I really have no idea how that would work though.

It just seems like the defense would never quite know what to expect, and the option could stay in the playbook.
