as I was leaving the GA Dome after the UNC game that LSU would start 4-0 I would be incredibly happy. Things have not been pretty, but at the end of the day this team is 4-0. All they need to find is a little consistency on offense and if Miles believes JJ can still turn it around then I support his decision. It will be interesting to see what happens next Saturday.

It WILL be interesting to hear the crowd reaction when Jefferson leads the team on the field next Saturday. In front of a national TV audience. Damn, I hope we start off with an 80-yard TD drive and keep going from there. I'd give just about anything to see 400 yards of offense this weekend. Anyone else?

Your expectations are really low..

That kind of thinking is what lead to the 90's

I'm right there with you. All the tools are there it just has to come together. I just pray to god people stop booing the kid.

On the other hand, it would be nice if he would start owning up to his mistakes during interviews instead of just saying... "We're 4-0. Why should I be concerned?"

Did you go to the game? I have never been so upset after an LSU victory as I was after the UNC game.

Left the youth in there a little to long imo. Almost bit us. To be fair we did get screwed for UNC to even come close to making a comeback.

True. But it was really upsetting. This team has made progress since then though. Everything is in place except for consistency at QB. I could care less whether JJ or JL is the starter after Saturday, there just needs to be a clear starter for Gainesville

You can't please all the people all the time. No matter how many games we win people will find fault rather it's their high school crush isn't playing or something else can be improved. I choose to be a happy person and look at it as we are 4-0. If we can win with Jefferson throwing for under 100 yards, shite it's a win. No doubt he will have to do more against the big boys but right now we are winning.

IF the passing game fails against the big boys, the heat will be absolutely on the staff for not attempting to repair/replace the offense in the games leading up to the big ones. That's the flaw.

I just have a feeling that if we can't pass on Florida, Bama, Auburn early, you will see Lee

I agree. If you didn't think we'd be 4-0 right now, then you must have predicted a losing season.

4-0 should have been anyone's prediction who is paying attention to this program.

I disagree. If we can't pass on Tennessee early, our coaching staff will continue to try and force a square peg into a round hole. It's what they do.

Is this how far we've sunk (again) as LSU fans? It's not like we opened up the schedule against Texas, USC, Boise State, and Alabama. I mean come on!

Honestly, there was nothing anyone could tell me to make me believe we wouldn't be 5-0 heading into Gainesville.

Doesn't change the fact that the offense is a serious liability.

I wouldn't give anything of value for that.

Lemme try and clarify this... My preseason prediction was LSU wins 10+ including a bowl (see sig quote). After seeing the poor 2nd half performance in the GA Dome, I really started to think that we might slip to MSU or WVU. I am happy that we are 4-0 right now with wins over 2 ranked opponents. Im just trying to shed some positive light on this board because a lot of posters on here seem ready to throw in the towel.
