Do you believe that Miles' ego is being put in front of what makes good sense and is best for the team?

This whole situation reminds me a lot of Jim Haslett and Aaron Brooks. Haslett went down with the ship.

Another good comparison is Dinardo and Tepper.

That is exactly who I was thinking of. Sure feels like it I have to admit.

Les knows that if (big if) Lee gets a chance and looks good, than that makes Les look like more of an idiot than he already is...So yeah, it's an ego thing.

That's my thing with it. It's right there in everyone's face. You just can't ignore it any longer how absolutely horrific JJ is performing and yet that's it? If not Lee, then why not just run Russell Shepard under center, or heck, if nothing else, then put a headset on JJ every now and then when he's struggling, put Lee in, and let JJ see what's going on and how he needs to deal with it. Maybe that will help with his confusion and decisions as well as calming his nerves or whatever.

Only after he found them both jobs. Les is a good man, but he is a hard head, and when he's sold out to you, he's all the way, and while that seems like a positive attribute, it isn't when you have to put the best answer on the field at all times and make decisions that are best for the team and less for Les and his committments.

Miles is in a great position. He can be stubborn without any consequences.

If things turn around, he can say he was right all along.

If he fails and gets fired, he has $10+ million waiting for him on the back end.

It does remind me of the Josh Booty / Rohan Davey situation thing a few years ago. Josh was the stud and the back ground what that the coaches wanted to keep the inroad into Evangel... That was well known up here. The same players that did not perform well for Josh stepped up for Rohan and made plays. Why? No idea. DON'T CARE. CHANGE IS NOT A BAD THING.
