For it is the year 2010,
Time for Jarrett Lee again.
Though 2008 was not very clean,
Blame the defense they just weren't very mean.
Time to take the winning ingredient off of the shelf,
Because we are tired of our offense ranking 112th.
Take heed with Lee the tigers are back,
Scoring touchdowns and avoiding the sack.
I would take a pick six every single game,
Rather than watch an offense so boring and lame.
With our defense a championship could be on the way,
As long as Lee is forgiven of his sins and allowed to play.

This is major college football so if the coaches and players can't take booing then perform or transfer to McNeese. Our quarterback is the 13th ranked passer in the SEC which means that there is a backup who is better than our starter. How bad does the offense have to be before there are major changes in scheme and personel? We were 5-0 last year going into the Florida game, when our pathetic offense and comical coaching finally caught up with us.

Your poem reminded me of the offseason limerick I wrote in reaction to rumors of Crowton's departure:

There once was a coach named Crowton
Who lost big in The Rant's online votin'

The stats frequently proved
That his calls lost their groove

Now he's fired and the fans will start gloatin'

I agree with your sentiments for the most part... your poetry was a little painful and made my eyes bleed a little, but it's okay... it's better now.

My son wrote the poem and insisted that it be posted. He is only six so I was pretty impressed.

Ah, so. Apologies for the ribbing then (was meant in good humor in any case). Truly, it is better than my 7 year old daughter could do.

there is no way possible lee could be worse.
Patrick Peterson has accounted for as many touchdowns as jordan jefferson and does not touch the ball but 5-7 times per game.
