In 2008 he let J lee keep throwing interceptions till the guy had absolutely no confidence left.
I always felt he should have been sat at periods thru the game, as Arnsparger did with Hodson and Guidry,
so Lee could maybe gather himself and maybe see his mistakes and learn.
Fastforward to now and he is doing the exact same thing to Jefferson.
Eventually, Miles had to bring in Jefferson b/c Lee wasn't getting it done, but it took the whole year to do it.
Will it take the whole season for Miles to see that Jeffereson isn't getting the job done?
Is Miles ego so huge that he can't admit he's making the same mistake again?
Or is he so stupid he actually can't see it?

Certainly ego. He sits there and watches this young man struggle, and get booed by 90K+ and he is helping this kid go so far in the tank that he will never improve.

The problem as I see it is that that when (and if) Les ever HAS to put Lee in with the game on the line, he will have had absolutely ZERO meaningful snaps.

What experience can Lee fall back on to move the team when it counts? He has had a dozen handoffs in mop-up duty in the last 2 minutes of 3 games.

That is not much to build confidence or establish a feel for the game.

When an if Lee ever has to come in for an injured JJ, and if he doesn't light up the offense immediately, then the Lee-haters can say "I told you so."

This just burns my butt. JJ is the worst QB in college football. If Lee isn't better than JJ in the coach's view, then put in the third stringer - or covert a DT to QB - anything but more vintage JJ.

I for one think we are looking at the final product on JJ - I just do not think he has anything better to offer. He is not going to improve - he is at the top of his game.

Get him off the field.

J Lee must really stink to keep JJ in the game. Put Baily in and I bet he can throw for 150. How is LSU 4-0? I'm sick of watching them already. Maybe Chavis should be head coach because he's the only caoch doing squat,

Obviously, one of these is true. Does it really matter which one?

What are the odds that one of the worst QBs in college football would wind up on the one team that has even worse ones for him to compete with?

I feel that way too. I'm very excited watching the defense. When we get the ball, I get a drink or have a cigarette or grab some food. I know I only have a few minutes until we're back on defense again.

I'm so frustrated that I didn't actually ask the question.
Does anybody see a parallels between JL in 2008 and
Jefferson now?
