Question on Boat/Trailer Registration

I know I need to go to the DMV for the trailer, but is it worth it to drive to Baton Rouge for the boat registration or just mail it in? If I do mail it in, does anyone have any sort of time frame?

mailing it in = 4 to 8 weeks from LDWF

You will have to pay taxes on the trailer valve for what ever the bill of sale states you bought it for.
As far as the paperwork on the boat, make copies and keep them with you when boating and send in the rest to WL&F's. It takes anywere from 1 week to as much as 8 weeks. No big deal as long as you have those copies of the bill of sale. Go to the web site and down load the new paper work to fill out to save time.
