You can call me a negatiger or whatever you want but...
1. Jefferson cant put any touch on the ball. He cant make quick decisions. He throws behind people constantly. He watches receivers all the way down the field.
2. In JJ's case, just because you have decent speed doesnt mean u can run the option!
3. I dont want to see "Pick 6" Lee!
4. I have seen video of Russell Shepard throwing the football and he can sling it pretty well AND the more the ball is in his hands the better.
5. Crowton's offense is brutal and predictable!
6. Cant understand why Miles can NEVER get in anyone's face! I am a believer in giving players "positive feedback" as much as possible but there are also times when you gotta get in some body's stuff!

I am a huge LSU fan. I try to be very optimistic but it can be very very difficult at times!

I really think Miles took over play calling in the second half. The I formation, between the tackles looked a whole lot like old school big ten football.
I dont have a problem playing ball control, hard core "D".As long as it brings a win.

yelling at people is not the only way to coach.

The video you saw of RS apparently is not being duplicated in practice, or you would have seen it ON THE FIELD before this.

IMO Item #1 of your post is true. that is the only thing that matters in your whole post. Once Miles accepts your analysis, something will change.

LSU WON. That is all that matters. Period.
LSU WON
Enjoy it if you are an LSU fan, be miserable if you aren't.
That is the bottom line.

I agree with a number of things you said and I am one that is a Miles supporter. After we went up 20-3, I thought the defense got lax and we needed Miles to flip out and get in their faces. I hate to say it but, like Saban used to do. Also, frick the option. It hasn't ever produced anything and it is in those scripted plays that we always run in the first two series. I disagree about Lee. His INT's were his freshman year when he didn't get the first team reps in the spring b/c Perriloux was still there. Even w/ all the INT's, JL still put up good numbers. We need to give Lee a shot and keep Shep where he is. If we can get good QB play in the passing game, our running game will explode and we will be very, very difficult to beat.

I felt better after the narrow escape against UNC than after a 24-point blowout win. This was just an ugly game that LSU finally put away in the fourth quarter. I'm not in any way pleased with how the game went. Random thoughts before watching a replay or checking the boxscore...

-- Gary Crowton has called some bad games since he has come to Baton Rouge, this may have been his worst.

-- Jordan Jefferson was terrible. Like I said, I haven't checked the numbers yet, but I'm sure they are terrible. He didn't pass the eyeball test. He threw an interception in the end zone that defies description. He continually tried to throw the ball through a wall instead of trying to put any touch on the ball. Just no feel for the game whatsoever.

-- The defense was awesome. LSU absolutely dominated Vanderbilt's offense. Yes, it's just Vandy, but that was a great team effort. This has all of the makings of a truly dominant defense.

-- Stevan Ridley is the starter. No questions.

-- Russell Shepard is an unstoppable force of nature. Really, he cannot get enough touches.

-- This game was the opposite of UNC. It was good to see the team finish up strong.

-- I do not care about moral victories, therefore I give the team the courtesy of not caring about moral losses. A win is a win is a win.
