It is incredulous that there are still ranters who are defending Miles, Crowton, and crew. They stunk up the GA dome Sat. night, which is merely a continuation of past performance. I guess this is a normal progression for our team under this coaching regime:

2008 Terrible Defense, Decent Offense
2009 Terrible Offense, Decent Defense
2010 Putrid Offense and Defense in Game 1

Miles HAS to go. He's a coach with a Big 10 coaching mentality trying to coach a team playing in the SEC. Big 10 teams have difficulty against SEC teams. Miles lacks the killer instinct. He had or allowed playcalling in the 2nd half designed "not to lose" rather than "to win". This is a continuing trait of his. To think that LSU pays this guy nearly $4M/year to produce the product we saw Sat. night is ludicrous.

So you're a Miles defender huh?

I'm keeping a list. I've got a star for you to wear.

I agree with you. Dude making that much money better bring something special to the table. All I see is a confused football team with no leadership.
At the very least, Crowton needs to be fired.

Give it a rest, give it a chance. Don't get nuts.
No one is getting fired after a season-opening win, no matter how objectionable it strikes fans who demand excellence. I realize 4 out of 5 Tiger fans consider this win a loss. I count myself among the dissatisfied, and quite nearly horrified. But I also saw some things to get excited about.

The coaching is more than a little suspect, but you can't just fire these guys after one game that you're lucky to win.

My salute to Drake Nevis and Patrick Peterson

Dudes aren't going to get fired until after a bad season or in the event of a terrible season around the 10th game of the year.

8 wins and he keeps his job.

Unfortunately.

if you do not like the coach, just say so, you do not have to attempt to justify it. Just come on out and say i have no reason and i do not like him. I would have more respect for you then.
I have trouble believing the people who said 2 weeks ago "Miles never plays freshmen or young players, he is married to the seniors" then yesterday were claiming" we had way too many young guys in the game in the 3rd and 4th quarter" or how about...."i miss the 2007 risk taking coach we had, that is the difference" yet this week it is" why would we run a toss instead of a handoff....i want a conservative coach!'

i am not saying you have to like him, but to try to justify it by pointing out some of the successful things he did, or to not give him credit for he positives flat out is not fair. Just say you do not like, you do not know why, and we will move on.... one last thing, please only say it once, i am tired of hearing the same thing that does not make sense or is not justified over and over again.

Are you really saying that someone who doesn't like Miles can't have any real reasons for disliking him?

I didn't say we should fire him, only b/c I don't know who we could realistically get. But that doesn't mean I'm thrilled with what he's doing. You know there are middle grounds b/t loving him and wanting him fired, right?

It's his decision to retain GC that bothers me the most. If he doesn't cut ties with this guy soon, he's in big trouble.

So you are advocating that we immediately get rid of Frank Wilson whose RBs killed us with fumbles on Saturday?
