All I saw was a team that looked very improved from last year until they took their foot off the gas second half. I like this team, and I'm not going to hit the panic button just yet because I saw a lot of good things in the first half. I say lets wait a little bit before we jump to conclusions. Just my 2 cents.

I think we at least need to wait until we see the double secret play book sprinkled lightly with pixie dust.

That was so frustrating for me. In the first half we ran the slant and the wide receiver screen well for 7 or more each time. It was almost automatic. But by the fourth quarter we were lining up in that compact Big-10 style formation with run as the only option and running right into the middle, playing to the strengths of UNC's linebackers. We also started throwing all passes as either a bomb or an inside pass to a sideways running receiver for two yards. No focus across the line, no shifting, no motion, no imagination and, guess what, no yards.

I saw a qb still scared to death to throw the ball. Jefferson holds on to the ball till receiver is at least 5 yard away from db. Even on his long pass he waited way to long to let it fly.
