and it's really making me wish Shepard would have worked out at QB. Don't get me wrong, he'll have a big impact at WR but there's something about a playmaker like that touching the ball every play. He could have made it there imo.

I sort of agree, but then again, these kind offenses don't win championships against big physical teams that can pound the football.

Kid takes a pop and the season is over for UM

I would think a QB running around like that in the SEC just might get someone killed on the field.

Would never happen in a Miles/Crowton offense.

In 08 their defense was ranked #9 in the country. Their offense was #15.

In 06 their defense was ranked #6 in the country. Their offense was #19.

Its all about the D brah.

eta: But maybe you aren't arguing that, just the idea that you can't win with that type of offense, as opposed to winning with that type of offense.

I'm not sure. If so ignore this post.

Shep could play QB.

But playing QB would not prepare him to play in the NFL.

He doesn't have the tools to be an NFL QB.

If is dream is to be a great College QB, then it may work. If he wants to be a solid NFL player for many years and make $$$$. His best shot is at WR/KR/PR.

This makes no sense Apex. I like you fwiw, and think you are a good poster, but what does that kind of offense have to do with big physical opposing offenses that pound the ball?

Shep could absolutley be a fantastic college QB.

The kid is lighting it up against a mediocre Big East defense big deal

He's still lighting it up though. Jarrett Lee went 7-22 vs. LA Tech last season.

This is a true freshman being put in a position to be successful. Easy throws, and a simple gameplan.
