Deangelo will not travel with the team to Atlanta according to coach. No update on injury.

Was this injury big news? I only heard about it this morning on here at 2 AM.

This is a big deal if it lingers.

I hate it when players dont go with the team. They are still part of the team and should be there with everyone. It just helps build chemistry and is a good time to bond with team mates. Being hurt shouldnt make you any less a part of the team.

heard he was on crutches, usually if that's the case, they don't mess with them and airports, airplanes. It sounds good in team spirit, but in reality it makes sense to stay home and have rehab.

It sucks that he won't be able to play, but I don't think it is that big of a loss except maybe in the blocking aspect of things. When have we ever really used the TE as a receiving threat? The last "big time" TE we had was Robert Royal.

You need to capitalize that "r" there.

What exactly do you know about his backup, since you are obviously an expert?

How about Ryan Baker and Karnell Hatcher? It would kind of suck if Baker misses an opportunity to visit his home state.

It's actually the exact opposite of this, DP's a better receiver than a blocker, and I think was going to be a pretty great target this season. Joseph and Clement I think will be good blockers, but you'll miss DP's athleticism... esp. if they're missing starting LB's.

Don't know the severity of the ankle,
