Any of you unlucky enough to be attending any events during the fall that will cause you to miss an LSU game?

What game will you miss?

Do you think the event in question is worth missing the game?

I missed 3 engagement parties and 1 wedding last year. I am still friends with them so it shows that you can skip and have them get over it

I have a four year old. There is a birthday party for one of her friends at 5 p.m. on game day.

I usually go to the boy's parties because other dads are there.

But I will NOT be at this one.

I don't know any young people getting married any more.

This year I am good (as for as I know).

In 06 I had to miss the LSU-Ole Miss game due to a wedding. My gf was a bridesmade, so I was kinda expected to go...otherwise my arse was gonna miss that one. I have never been so annoyed in my entire life. Who gets married on a football saturday in Baton Rouge, LA?

My girlfriend's sister is getting married on the 11th, and I will have to try and keep up with the Vandy game in my phone. That should be it though, hopefully.

I will only attend Fall weddings of immediate family members of mine or the gf's or a wedding we're in. Outside of that, zero chance.

I don't allow this to happen. I've said "no" to 3 different people who have asked me to be in their wedding during football season. They got over it.

FIVE weddings last season. Zero this year. Though I do have a mandatory work retreat during the Auburn weekend. Probably won't miss the game, though.

I'm good this year. Last year I was in a wedding during the ole miss game...luckily there was a tv in the groom's room so we got to watch all the way until right before the meltdown. I literally got dragged out of the room to walk a bridesmaid down the asle...but im somewhat glad i didnt watch that live...better for everyone else there.

Got a wedding on the Saturday of the McNeese game.

People need to understand that even though they don't care about LSU football, 95% of those attending your wedding do. It's like even if you hated Mardi Gras, you wouldn't get married on Endymion Saturday.

Yes but being in the wedding makes it hard for me to fake sick.

fricking family reunion

I have a family reunion next Saturday, thankfully I wasnt planning on going to Vandy.

ETA: Not to mention, ill be getting married next year and she wants a fall wedding. I simply told her, "pick a day in the spring if you want it to be cool, or its going to be in the summer." Between hunting season and football season....fall just aint happening.
