Why are there so many on here still sniffing Saban's underwear?

You would think Saban hung the moon the way some people talk of him. There are other coaches better, much better than Saban. Meyer for one, Tressel for another. If we allow our minds to think we could come up with several more

Fail on both accounts. Meyer may be as good as Saban, but he's not better. Tressel is not even close. He's nearly Les Miles material.

You would be in line to lick his boots if he ever came back.

24-0 in the SEC regular season the last two years is not too shabby either. Tressel can't even go undefeated in the weak Big 10 for one year, much less two.

First you are wrong about the other coaches you named being better. I am 100% behind our coach Les Miles. But Coach Saban brought LSU to an elite level. He put up the first 50,000 for the athletic center. He restructured ticket prices to bring the funds in to make every sport at LSU get better facilities. Don't sell the man short. He did great things for LSU while he was here. He deserves credit for bringing the Tigers to an elite status. Coach Miles will keep us there. All top teams dip a little, but LSU is still on solid ground.

Meyer has 3 13-1 seasons in the past 4 years including 2 NC's. That's ... well, not too bad.

Saban won 2 NC's at 2 different SEC schools....both of which sucked before he arrived.

Meyer took over at Florida were Ron Zook had been recruiting well but not producing (Miles rings a bell) and had a very talented team when he arrived

Please don't include any of Utah's seasons in your comparison Comparing records in the SEC and the Mountain West is just idiotic.
