LSU Football Youth Camps

Did anyone attend the LSU football youth camps as a kid?

I know the football camps today are used as a big recruiting tool for HS-juniors the summer before their senior year. That is not what I am talking about.

In the early 80's LSU had what they called youth camps for young players. I attended two of them when I was 13 and 14 years old. They were a week long and the coaches worked with the kids on skill and technique development. The kids were housed in the dorms for the week and it was a really cool experience. The camp included instruction, room, meals and a camp t-shirt.

I was wondering if anyone else attended these as a kid and if LSU still does this for youth (pre-high school) football players.
