Seriously:
1. He is the best or second best golfer of all-time. This is a fact, not up for debate.
2. He is currently World #1, no debate. The world number 1 does not get left off the Ryder Cup team. Period
3. He finished 4th in the Masters and 4th in the US Open and made all 4 major cuts in the worst year of his career. A fantastic season for most golfers.
4. He finished 12th in the Ryder Cup standings despite playing fewer tournaments than every one in front of him.
He is an easy choice for the team.
