Yeah, it looks like he'll be making more than that. I completely agree with you, I don't know how you can turn that type of money down but try telling that to some of these guys on here

He can insure himself for that amount easily.
If he goes first round NFL in three years will make 10 - 20 times this easy. The money will still be there if he went the MLB route.
If he insures himself he is still protected for this amount if he is not able to continue his career due to injury.
