Crabbing in Rockefeller

anyone have any spots or tips? looking to take the kids this weekend.

wish I could remember how to get there, but it's where most people go to catch crabs out of rockefeller. 5 of us caught right at 200 in two hours pulling up three at a time with chicken necks on a string. Just ask, someone will tell you where it is, it's a popular spot.

Jebby!!!! dont give away all of the secret spots DAMNIT!!! I gave vague directions. Next time you do that, I will put a hight restriction for Tournoi!

Norby, I didn't give out any directions, just names. I still don't have a clue where LSU weirs are. I have been to Ant Hill and may be able to get there by memory.

went in march down here in the sabine refuge

Anyway, there's only ONE dam road through Grand Chenier, can't miss it.
I go through Kaplan on hwy 13 and keep south past Lil Prairie and through Pecan Island.

On the weekend Rockefeller may have a lot of people, don't rule out putting in at the Mermentau and going south if you're taking a boat.
