The babies cant spray yet so if you get rid of the mom you are golden. I think those bastard carry rabies though.

Catch one of the babies and take it to the vet and have the scent glands removed. That should make for an awesome pet.

You can probably catch them in a havaheart trap. Skunks are particular though. Cover up the bottom of the trap with grass or something to hide the feel of the metal cage. It can make them wary. Also, they like cover so use a towel or something to cover up the outside of the cage. If you catch the momma you will usually catch the babies with her. If not, they will be hanging around the outside of the cage.

You can also use a body grip trap or conibear if there is a clear entracne/exit from under the slab. This is what we use when fur trapping. By making a clean quick kill the animal usually doesnt spray or spray as badly. For skunks you'd use a #110 conibear. Heres a diagram

Yep, use bananna to atttract so as not to catch cats. Also, the cover will serve to protect you upon removal if you get lucky..a small tarp is best. Fold the door end back and completly cover the rest of the trap. If you catch one, fold the door end down very slowly and transport with the tarp still on. Upon release, raise the tarp on the door end again; slowly open the door and get back. Do all of this with the tarp between you and the skunk and all very slowly. Maybe you won't smell when you're done....New thread about skunk odor removal somebody?
