LSU's strength of schedule should be very high this year with the two good out of conference games but the way the schedule sets up there is no reason they can't make a good run. Check out this tid-bit form an article on al.com

quote:

If anybody has a reason to complain about this year's schedule, Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt should go to the front of the line. They each have to play six straight conference games over six straight weeks at one point, and isn't that what separates the SEC from lesser leagues? The difficulty of playing SEC opponents week-in and week-out?

Alabama and Florida will face five SEC opponents in a row without a break.

The longest stretch of SEC games for Auburn, Arkansas and Georgia is four in four weeks. For Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee, it's three in three weeks.

LSU, meanwhile, never plays more than two consecutive SEC games before stepping out of conference or taking a weekend off. Les Miles should tip his hat to someone for that courtesy.

Right we step out of conference to play North Carolina and West Virginia. Dumb comment. If we were stepping out of conference to play Western Kentucky and New Mexico State that would be different. This is a tough schedule. Compare our first game to everyone else in the conference with the exception of Florida who does play Miami and Kentucky who will have a tough game against Louisville I would suspect.

bama can blow themselves.

For years their schedule has started with the litte sisters of the blind for their first four games. This year they got a real schedule and look what they did......Its not fair we want to change the schedule to our liking. Damn Gumps

Typically clueless Alabama idiots.

LSU plays its first eight games without an open date. Outside of McNeese, which of these eight does that idiot consider a breather?

North Carolina
Vanderbilt
Mississippi State
West Virginia
Tennessee
Florida
McNeese
Auburn

UNC and WVU are not SEC teams, but in terms of toughness of the games, they are the equivalent of playing mid-tier SEC teams.
